Search for more than one object

I was too short and criptic in my previous message, I should know better :)

My usercase is that I am uploading a list of the objects I want to observe with an optical telescope, and ESASky is a fantastic tool to prepare my observation. I would like to point with my telescope consecutively to objects that are close to each other in order to maximize the observing time and not take too much time moving the telescope. However, since in ESASky only one object is tagged at a time, it is not straightforward to go to the next object in my list without losing track of the previous one, and find out its relative position. If you could implement the possibility to keep tagged several objects at the same time it would be fantastic for these kind of task.

Great to hear from you! There is a method, albeit slightly indirect, to measure the distance in ESASky. You can do this using the cone, box or polygon search. When you select these in the search field, click on one star and then move to another and the distance appears (see this video for an example).

As you know, you can also load up your own target list, via the scroll icon in the search field, which will highlight your objects in the sky with a square. I'm not sure if this would completely fulfil your use case though? Can you give more details how you'd like to search for more than one object at a time? Would you want them to be tagged, or an extra column to be added with distances?
