thanks for reporting this issue. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce it, for me the map is loaded without any issues. Could you please tell us your operative system and browser, so that we can investigate further?
I am glad that you find the related documentation. Please note that every time you see a ? icon, you can click on it and get more info on the feature.
thank you for your interest in ESASky. I have just reproduced your workflow and it works fine for me: When I switch to greyscale, I see the map in greyscale. Can you tell us which operative system and browser are you using so that our engineers have more info to research the issue?
we are happy to report that since version 3.1 you have more targets in the Dice feature. There are also new object lists available in the Target List feature.
there is currently not the option to send HST and Herschel images via SAMP; the reason is that the format served by the corresponding archives (a .tar file) is not understood by all VO applications. My guess is that you clicked on the SAMP button on the side of the metadata table; this sends the table itself to Aladin or any other VO tool you have open in your computer.
When there is the option to send images via SAMP, the button appears in the table between the "Center on observation" and the "Preview" buttons. I have just tested this with XMM-Newton data and it worked for me, sending the image I had chosen to Aladin.
Our engineers are currently working on a solution to enable unpacking the .tar files when they are sent via SAMP. We will let you know when it is implemented.
it is possible to upload a list of coordinates instead of a list of names, as explained in this page:
If you have already tried this and had issues, could you please explain the problems you encountered?
thanks for your suggestion. We are currently working in improving the object lists and will also take care of the list in the Dice feature.
the problem was caused by recent changes on the Chandra side. We have updated our code and now it is possible to download the Chandra products again.
thank you very much for your suggestion. We will study it and add it to our backlog.
thank you for your suggestion. We are working on improving the visualisation functionalities and hope to be able to offer this particular functionality soon. We will let you know when it is available.
